Site Agent/Senior Civil Engineer - Frankfurt, Germany - Data Centre
As Site Agent you will represent our clinet as the most Senior Engineer on our construction projects. You will lead and mentor the delivery team, including Engineers, Foreman, Surveyors and Construction and Works Managers to successfully execute the works in accordance with project budget, programme, and design. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery meets with the company standards of Health & Safety, Environmental & Sustainability and Quality.
A rotation system with the full package of allowances will be offered to candidates located in Ireland, the UK, Spain, Austria and the Netherlands.
Key Role Deliverables:
- Responsible for the leadership of all Construction & Quality Assurance teams and ensuring they are fulfilling their duties
- Ensure the comprehensive checks are made in relation to the implementation of safe systems of work
- Responsible for the completion of incident investigations, ensure the implementation of corrective actions – ensuring the Project Engineer & Supervisor carry out the investigation on their sections
- Ensure the contract programme is completed and submitted on a monthly basis
- Ensure the contract programme is relevant, complies with the contract and is used as a tool on site
- Coordinate with the Project Engineer to translate sectional programmes into the contract programme and any other requirements
- Provide the site teams with the main programme and budget requirements
- Take the site sectional plans and check for compliance
- Work with the teams to achieve the required outputs and meet budget constraints
- Update the commercial team and senior project manager of progress
- Record lessons learnt
- Complete the monthly cost plant updates
- Contribute to the project monthly report
- Ensure the construction teams (Project Engineer & Supervisor) carry out material and error reconciliations and report these back to the Project Manager
- Work with the quality engineer to ensure sufficient control of QA on site is being implemented
- Ensure all departments are aware of the programme and their requirements therein
- Responsible for the quality of the physical works to ensure compliance with the contract specifications and design
- Responsible for the management of all subcontractors ensuring compliance with a programme, budget and HSEQ
- Lead the commercial team in securing major supply agreements and subcontracts
- Contribute to the pre-order meetings
- Liaise with the design coordinator and the designers to ensure timely and accurate information is on site and available for the construction teams.
- Coordinate with the design team to resolve site issues, implement value engineering and provide as built and survey information as required
- Maintain any relevant contemporary records as defined within the project QA and HSE plans.
- Liaise with client personnel:
- Daily planned works briefings
- Weekly planned works briefings
- Coordination to ensure project operations are not conflicted
- Any other reasonable requests as required by Management

Minimum Qualifications/ Experience
- HNC/HND
- Proven technical and project management abilities
- Sufficient experience required within construction
Essential and Desirable Skills
- Computer literate
- Strong organisational and management skills
- Knowledge of the requirements and implementation of CDM regulations
- Ability to produce Work Package Plans, Task Briefing Sheets, and implement safe systems of work
- Detailed knowledge of Safety, Quality and Environmental issues relevant to the project environment
- Good written and verbal communication skills
