Our client is a medium-sized main contractor with a strong reputation for excellence in new build, refurbishment, and fit-out projects, typically valued up to £25m and across the London & South East region. They deliver high-quality construction projects for blue-chip clients primarily in the financial services and commercial sectors.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the in-house team, supporting the design, coordination, and delivery of building services across multiple projects. You’ll play a key role in ensuring mechanical installations are delivered to the highest standard, on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
•    Work closely with project managers, consultants, and subcontractors on mechanical services design and installation
•    Review and coordinate MEP designs from concept through to construction
•    Provide technical support and value engineering input during pre-construction and construction phases
•    Ensure compliance with all relevant standards, specifications, and regulations
•    Assist in commissioning and handover processes

Requisite experience & Skills
•    Degree-qualified or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services
•    3+ years’ experience in the construction or building services sector, preferably with a contractor
•    Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, public health, etc.)
•    Experience working on projects up to £25m, ideally in commercial build or fit-out sectors
