OFCI Manager Data Centre Construction – Finland Key Responsibilities In Return, Our Client Offers
Our client is an established engineering & construction main contractor delivering new build data centre schemes across Northern & Central Europe. This organisation provides a full turnkey solution, constructing these facilities from the initial design phase through groundworks, structural build, M&E installation, fit-out, and final handover. Company turnover is currently €1.3bn, with continued growth of 10%–15% year-on-year.
Due to continued expansion, the requirement now exists for an experienced OFCI Manager to join the project team delivering a €600m+ hyperscale Data Centre in Finland.
The OFCI Manager will play a key role in managing all Owner Furnished Contractor Installed (OFCI) equipment across the project. This position will be responsible for coordinating the delivery, storage, tracking, and installation of client-supplied equipment such as switchgear, UPS systems, generators, cooling units, and other critical infrastructure components.
Working closely with the client, project management team, logistics personnel, and subcontractors, the successful candidate will ensure all OFCI equipment is managed efficiently from procurement through to final installation and commissioning within a complex, mission-critical construction environment.
• Manage all aspects of OFCI equipment coordination across the project lifecycle
• Coordinate closely with the client regarding delivery schedules and equipment specifications
• Track and manage the receipt, storage, and condition of OFCI equipment upon delivery to site
• Maintain accurate inventory records and tracking systems for all client-supplied materials
• Coordinate logistics, lifting operations, and installation schedules for major equipment packages
• Ensure subcontractors are prepared for installation in accordance with delivery timelines
• Monitor storage conditions and handling procedures to protect sensitive equipment
• Coordinate with engineering and commissioning teams to ensure equipment readiness for installation and testing
• Manage documentation relating to OFCI equipment including delivery records, inspections, and installation reports
• Identify and resolve potential delays or issues relating to equipment delivery or installation
• Participate in project coordination meetings to ensure alignment between logistics, construction, and commissioning teams
• Promote safe handling and installation practices across all OFCI-related activities
