Pre-Fabrication Detailer – London/Coventry Our client is a large and well-established MEP Sub-Contractor operating across the UK, Ireland & Europe. They undertake major Mechanical & Electrical Packages on behalf of Tier:1 main contractors involved in ‘technology’ schemes including Data Centres, Pharmaceutical, Semi-Conductor plants and heavy industrial projects. Due to continued growth in the region of their Modular division, our client is now seeking an experienced Pre-Fabrication Detailer to join their team working on Modular construction projects in Coventry. Responsibilities • Develop Detailed MEP Models to Support Off-Site Prefabrication Requirements Degree or Trade qualified in a Mechanical / Building Services Engineering or related HVAC Discipline Benefits £70,000 - £75,000 + Benefits
Produce and manage high-quality BIM models for prefabricated MEP modules including plant skids, riser modules, corridor racks and containment assemblies, ensuring designs are suitable for efficient off-site manufacturing.
• Coordinate Modular MEP Assemblies Across Multiple Disciplines
Lead the coordination of mechanical, electrical and public health systems within modular assemblies, resolving spatial conflicts and ensuring all services are optimised for prefabrication and installation.
• Prepare Fabrication-Ready Drawings & Technical Documentation
Generate detailed fabrication drawings, spool drawings, installation details and schedules to support manufacturing teams, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project specifications and fabrication standards.
• Manage BIM Coordination, Clash Detection & Model Integrity
Conduct regular coordination reviews using federated models, identify and resolve clashes, maintain model accuracy and ensure all design updates are reflected in fabrication-level BIM outputs.
• Support Project Delivery Through Digital Construction Processes
Work closely with project managers, engineers and manufacturing teams to ensure modular designs integrate with site installation strategies, programme requirements and the wider digital construction workflow.
Must have 3+ years’ experience in a similar role
Must be based within commutable distance of London or Coventry
