Senior Quantity Surveyor - Cleanrooms – North East

We are currently Partnering with a High-Growth, Market Leader in the Modular Cleanroom Design for the Biopharmaceutical sector. Demonstrating success across the UK and EMEA, they are currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join them on a £10m Cleanroom construction project in the North East.

Responsibilities

•    Commercial Leadership of Cleanroom Package:
Take full commercial responsibility for the cleanroom construction project, ensuring cost control, procurement, and contract administration are delivered to the highest standards across all phases.
•    Procurement & Supply Chain Management:
Manage the tendering, negotiation, and appointment of specialist cleanroom subcontractors and suppliers. Ensure scopes are clearly defined and aligned with the technical and programme requirements.
•    Change Control & Risk Management:
Lead the identification, evaluation, and negotiation of variations and compensation events. Maintain a live change register and proactively manage commercial risk throughout the project.
•    Valuations & Cost Reporting:
Prepare and submit accurate monthly valuations to the client. Manage subcontractor accounts, certify payments, and produce detailed cost reports, forecasts, and CVRs for senior management.
•    Contract Compliance & Final Accounts:
Ensure compliance with NEC or JCT contract conditions (as applicable). Lead the preparation and agreement of final accounts, ensuring the commercial close-out aligns with project objectives.

Requirements

Successful candidate will ideally come from an M&E or Mixed Contract background
Must have relevant degree level qualification
Must have 8+ years’ post qualification experience 

Benefits

£80,000 - £90,000 + Car + Bonus
