MEP Building Services Manager Our client is an established M&E subcontractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical installations across the industrial, commercial, and production sectors. With a growing portfolio of complex and technically demanding projects, they pride themselves on a hands-on, collaborative approach to building services delivery. We are currently seeking a Mechanically Biased Building Services Manager to join the team and take a leading role in the delivery of multiple M&E packages across a range of projects. The initial assignment will be managing a large-scale factory/production facility project based in Goodwood, Sussex. Key Responsibilities: Requirements: What We Offer:
The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical experience in an M&E contracting environment, excellent coordination skills, and a proven track record of managing on-site installations from start to finish.
• Oversee the mechanical elements of M&E installation on site, ensuring programme, quality, and safety standards are met
• Coordinate with electrical managers, main contractors, consultants, and supply chain partners
• Manage site teams, subcontractors, and materials logistics
• Review drawings and specifications, identifying value engineering opportunities and resolving technical queries
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures
• Attend project meetings, provide technical input, and report on progress
• Work closely with project managers and commercial teams to manage budgets and timelines
• Strong mechanical background with minimum 5 years of experience in an M&E subcontracting or building services environment
• Experience managing M&E installations on industrial, manufacturing, or large commercial projects
• Sound knowledge of HVAC, chilled water, plant room design, and process-related systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• SMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS, and relevant mechanical qualifications
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Willingness to be site-based in Goodwood, Sussex for the duration of the initial project
