Site Engineer – Office Build – Portlaoise

We are currently partnering with a Tier 1 Main Contractor with bases across Ireland who are in the process of a €6,000,000 office build in Portlaoise. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join their team in Portlaoise.

Responsibilities

•    Setting Out & Surveying: Carry out precise setting out and levelling using GPS and total station equipment for foundations, structural elements, drainage, and external works in line with design drawings and specifications.
•    Concrete Works Supervision: Oversee all concrete-related activities including formwork, reinforcement placement, pour inspections, slump testing, and curing processes to ensure compliance with engineering standards and quality benchmarks.
•    Technical Support & Coordination: Provide technical guidance to site operatives and subcontractors, resolving design or construction issues promptly and ensuring accurate interpretation of construction drawings.
•    Quality Assurance & Documentation: Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, concrete pour records, setting out logs, and quality checklists; ensure all works are carried out in line with project QA procedures and health & safety regulations.
•    Site Compliance & Collaboration: Liaise with the project manager, foremen, design team, and subcontractors to ensure smooth site operations, safe work practices, and alignment with programme milestones.

Requirements

Must have degree level qualification or equivalent trades background
Must have 3+ years’ experience working at site level on construction projects
Must have Irish Passport or RTW in Ireland

Benefits

€65,000 - €70,000 per annum + Vehicle + Package
