Senior Electrical Design Engineer - South East London 

The role of Senior Electrical Design Engineers involves overseeing junior staff, conducting engineering designs, providing project management and administration duties, and monitoring design team costs, considering the program and budget allocated for each project.

The Senior Electrical Design Engineer is also tasked with conducting fee assessments and presenting fee bids for projects as directed. A full UK driving license is a prerequisite for the role.

The summarized responsibilities for the Senior Electrical Engineers are as follows:

  • Implementing company procedures and policies.
  • Executing Electrical design and project management for various projects in alignment with company aims and policies.
  • Managing the design team and offering Electrical engineering support to all Electrical engineers.
  • Liaising with clients and attending meetings on all project aspects.
  • Expanding and maintaining the client base.
  • Conducting surveys and generating reports.
  • Performing quality inspections of projects.
  • Utilizing CAD systems following Pinnacle company procedures.
  • Monitoring the financial aspects of projects.
  • Formulating Electrical standards within the organization.

Experience in:

  • Knowledge of current Building Regulations, especially energy-related controls.
  • Consultancy work experience.
  • Design capacity for a large contractor.
  • Project management of multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Detailed specifications production.
  • Design calculations (manual and software).
  • Manual drawing production (CAD experience essential).
  • Tender packages production.
  • Tender analysis of returned packages.
  • Budget costings production for all service aspects.
  • Site surveys.
  • On-site project management.
  • Production of condition reports.
  • Management of junior staff.
  • Direct client liaison.

Knowledge of:

  • CIBSE Guides.
  • IEE Regulations.
  • CDM Regulations.
  • British Standards.
  • Revit/BIM.

Education:

  • Qualified to at least HNC or Degree Level.

Computer Skills:

  • Windows.
  • Excel/Word.
  • AutoCAD.
  • Microsoft Project.
