Mechanical Commissioning Manager - Frankfurt - Data Centre

We are currently seeking an individual to fulfill the role of Mechanical Commissioning Manager, tasked with overseeing various commissioning activities for mechanical systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of duties including:

  • Conducting commission-ability reviews and providing recommendations for commissioning requirements.
  • Developing schedules for mechanical commissioning activities.
  • Creating pre-commissioning checklists based on project specifications.
  • Supervising a team of engineers and supervisors across multiple concurrent commissioning activities.
  • Attending client commissioning meetings and leading internal commissioning meetings.
  • Generating regular commissioning reports.
  • Establishing commissioning Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor and highlight progress.
  • Reviewing vendor Operation and Maintenance manuals to ensure compliance with project specifications.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in commissioning mechanical systems, with at least 2 years in a commissioning management role.
  • Must possess strong teamwork skills while also capable of working independently.
  • In-depth knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) system interfaces, with electrical commissioning knowledge being advantageous.
  • Preference for experience within M&E contractor roles, spanning from construction through commissioning to handover.
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent tertiary qualification is required, with accreditation from a recognized commissioning body being highly desirable.
  • Experience in Data Centre construction and commissioning is advantageous.
  • Exceptional fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent people management and communication skills are essential.
