Health and Safety Advisor - Fit Out - Social Housing
Our client is a major construction company who are engaged by some of the world’s largest IT companies on the construction of the internal aspects of their data centres in various site in mainland Europe, on this occasion they're looking for an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join their division in County Meath.
This organisation specialises in offices, fit-out, modular free-standing and suspended hot & cold aisle containment, flooring, partition and ceiling systems, including structural and seismic door sets.
Duties
- Assist the project's management team and the site's health and safety lead.
- Observance of essential statutory provisions and laws regarding environmental, health, and safety
- Review Method statements, risk analyses, a safe action plan, and a work permit.
- adherence to the project's execution schedule.
- Good safety practises are controlled and kept up.
- ongoing COSHH evaluations and hazardous substance control.
- making sure that safety interventions are finished and recorded.
- Conduct routine site audits and inspections, record the findings, and keep track of any corrective actions.

- Keep records of legal inspections and make them available for project activities, equipment, and supplies.
- Adopt a proactive stance when it comes to EHS project needs.
- the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Make that the EHS rules and procedures for the project are followed by the project's subcontractors.
- Compile and conduct Toolbox lectures as needed.
Requirements
- Relevant third level degree qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety
- Nebosh / Iosh
- 4-5+ years’ experience on large construction sites.
- Thorough knowledge of current environmental, health and safety legislation
- Flexibility in working patterns where necessary.
- Ability to efficiently manage all environmental, health and safety issues on site.
- Strong communication & computer skills,
