Civil Design Engineer - Falmer - Utilities

We are partnering with a ‘cradle to grave’ project delivery partner specialising in planning, commercial and project management. Due to continued growth in their team, they are seeking an experienced Civil Design Engineer to aid with their development in Falmer.

Responsibilities

•    Design of Civil Infrastructure: Develop detailed civil engineering designs for water infrastructure projects, including pipelines, pumping stations, chambers, and associated structures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
•    Technical Support Across Project Phases: Provide civil design input throughout the project lifecycle—from feasibility and planning to construction and commissioning—supporting delivery teams with clear and accurate technical information.
•    Coordination with Design Manager & Stakeholders: Work closely with the Design Manager to ensure alignment of design outputs with project timelines and quality standards, while also collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
•    Preparation of Drawings and Documentation: Produce and review technical drawings, calculations, and design reports using appropriate CAD and design software, ensuring all documentation meets regulatory and client requirements.
•    Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all civil design work adheres to health, safety, and environmental regulations, and contribute to risk assessments and constructability reviews during the design process.

Requirements

Must have relevant civil engineering degree or similar
Must have previous water design experience 
AutoCAD / Autodesk Civils 3D experience is preferential

Benefits

£65,000 - £70,000 + Package
