Our company is currently recruiting an experienced Project EHS Lead to be working onsite in Dublin for a leading engineering services contractor currently involved in complex technical projects in life sciences, pharmaceutical and data centre schemes across Europe. The organisation’s division includes Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Sprinkler and Fire Protection and also offer exceptional services in Off Site Fabrication, Waste to Energy (BioEnergy),  Technical Support Services, Asset Management, Specialist Lift, Maintenance, BIM (Building Information Modelling) and Geo-Surveying. 

As a Project EHS Lead, you will play a crucial role in our project implementation and delivery processes. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and industry experts to safely deliver the completion of the projects. Your responsibilities will include managing and maintaining the company’s Safety Management System and CMS System. Please see below for the full job details.

Key Responsibilities will include: 

  • Maintaining the safety management CMS System. 

  • Implementation of the Company’s Safety Management System. 

  • Developing, updating and communicating site-specific Health and Safety Plans and Emergency Plans. 

  • Advising and assisting subcontractors in drafting and communicating Method Statements and Risk Assessments.  

  • Conducting site inspections and audits and presenting findings to the management teams. 

  • Ensure subcontractors are compliant and adhere to project and group EHS policies and procedures. 

  • Maintaining a site training matrix for all craft & staff and arranging or providing training where applicable. 

  • Delivery of Site Health and Safety Induction for new employees and contractors. 

  • Managing the delivery of toolbox talks with all site teams.  

  • Arranging onsite safety promotion reward schemes and initiatives. 

  • Responsible for accident or incident investigation reports in a timely manner and communicating to project management. 

  • Attend daily activity briefings and whiteboard meetings. 

  • Presenting the site statistics & project updates on a weekly basis.

  • Maintain records of statutory inspections. 

  • Officiate safety meetings with subcontractors.  

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Relevant Level 7 EHS qualification is essential. 

  • Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in a similar role in the pharmaceutical sector is essential. 

  • Experience working in the Construction Sector is advantageous. 

  • A Mechanical background would be advantageous.  

  • Excellent IT skills. 

  • Excellent organisational and planning skills.  

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
