Location: Ireland - West Salary: €90.000 - €100.000 + package

HSE LEAD - Limerick - Pharmaceutical 

As an EHS Lead, you will hold a pivotal role in driving our project implementation and delivery processes forward. Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and industry experts, your primary focus will be to ensure the safe completion of projects. This full-time onsite role will be based at a project in Limerick.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular formal site audits and perform inspections as outlined in the Safety Management system/PSCS.
  • Participate in Safety Leadership Tours.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to staff, fostering a positive safety culture.
  • Engage in external Quadra EHS Audits and ensure relevant follow-up actions are taken.
  • Review RAMS/Subcontractor documentation.
  • Communicate audit findings to site management and the Commercial EHS Manager, assisting in issue closure in accordance with JEG policy.
  • Evaluate the EHS function to identify areas for improvement and develop new initiatives.
  • Investigate and analyze incidents, identifying root causes.
  • Provide training and information to the workforce, utilizing appropriate training aids and media, and promoting accident prevention initiatives and greater EHS awareness.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of relevant environmental health & safety legislation.
  • Manage, mentor, and facilitate the professional development of a team of EHS professionals ranging from senior to junior level.
  • Maintain management systems in alignment with ISO 45001/14001 and Safe T Cert.
  • Represent the company professionally with clients, subcontractors, and third parties.

The successful candidate will report to the JEG Commercial EHS Manager/Group EHS Manager.

Skills and Requirements:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Essential Level 7 EHS qualification.
  • Minimum of 6+ years' experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in the Construction Sector is essential.
  • A background in Mechanical engineering would be advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a team environment.
