HSE LEAD - Limerick - Pharmaceutical
As an EHS Lead, you will hold a pivotal role in driving our project implementation and delivery processes forward. Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and industry experts, your primary focus will be to ensure the safe completion of projects. This full-time onsite role will be based at a project in Limerick.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular formal site audits and perform inspections as outlined in the Safety Management system/PSCS.
- Participate in Safety Leadership Tours.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to staff, fostering a positive safety culture.
- Engage in external Quadra EHS Audits and ensure relevant follow-up actions are taken.
- Review RAMS/Subcontractor documentation.
- Communicate audit findings to site management and the Commercial EHS Manager, assisting in issue closure in accordance with JEG policy.
- Evaluate the EHS function to identify areas for improvement and develop new initiatives.
- Investigate and analyze incidents, identifying root causes.
- Provide training and information to the workforce, utilizing appropriate training aids and media, and promoting accident prevention initiatives and greater EHS awareness.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of relevant environmental health & safety legislation.
- Manage, mentor, and facilitate the professional development of a team of EHS professionals ranging from senior to junior level.
- Maintain management systems in alignment with ISO 45001/14001 and Safe T Cert.
- Represent the company professionally with clients, subcontractors, and third parties.
The successful candidate will report to the JEG Commercial EHS Manager/Group EHS Manager.
Skills and Requirements:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Essential Level 7 EHS qualification.
- Minimum of 6+ years' experience in a similar role.
- Experience in the Construction Sector is essential.
- A background in Mechanical engineering would be advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a team environment.
