Design Engineer | Dublin | Mission-Critical Data Centre Development

An experienced and driven Design Engineer is required for a high-profile hyperscale data centre project in Dublin. This is a permanent, site-based position offering the opportunity to contribute to the technical delivery of one of Europe’s most advanced digital infrastructure programmes.

This role is well-suited to a motivated engineer with strong technical coordination skills and a solid background in large-scale construction environments. You’ll play a key role in supporting the design function, ensuring design intent is delivered and communicated effectively across all stages of project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary designers to ensure alignment with project specifications and client requirements
• Assist the Design Manager in the preparation, tracking, and submission of technical documentation and approvals
• Manage and maintain submittal and RFI registers to ensure project flow is uninterrupted
• Participate in regular design coordination meetings and contribute to resolution of technical queries
• Support the development of subcontractor packages with clear design and scope definitions
• Ensure compliance with project quality, environmental, and safety management systems as per contract requirements
• Coordinate design changes and ensure accurate communication to all relevant stakeholders

Ideal Candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline
• 3–6+ years’ experience in a design engineering role within major construction or MEP projects
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and preparation of detailed technical drawings and documentation
• Experience with RFI processes, submittals, and technical reviews in a fast-paced construction environment
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental procedures in line with project delivery standards
• Detail-oriented and process-driven, with excellent communication and organisation skills
• Ability to thrive in a team-focused, high-performance project culture
