Assistant MEP Cost Manager- Amsterdam

Our company is currently recruiting a dedicated Assistant MEP Cost Manager to be working in Amsterdam for a company involved in Data Centre, Commercial, Residential, Education, Healthcare, Sport, and Retail clients committed to excellence, innovation and sustainability that delivers top notch services. As Assistant MEP Cost Manager, you will support the MEP Cost Manager in managing and overseeing the cost estimation, budgeting, and financial control of MEP systems ensuring that all MEP costs are accurately forecasted, tracked, and controlled to maintain project financial health and efficiency. 

Key Responsibilities & Requirements: 

• Review and analyse MEP drawings and specifications to ensure accurate cost estimation and assist in the preparation of detailed cost estimates for MEP systems. 

• Prepare regular financial reports, including cost variance analyses and forecasts. 

• Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide recommendations to the project team. 

• Assist in preparing procurement plans and strategies for MEP systems and in negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cost-effective procurement. 

• Help in identification and assessment of financial risks associated with MEP systems and report to MEP Cost Manager. 

• Participate in project meetings and provide input on cost-related matters and support in resolving any cost-related issues. 

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all cost management activities  

• Degree in Quantity Surveying/Construction Management or related field.  

• Proven track record in MEP Cost Management role.  

• MEP Experience in Data Centre contracts is beneficial.  

• MRICS or other related professional body membership.  

• Proven ability to manage projects and deliver results within budget and schedule. 

• Strong verbal & written communication and problem-solving skills.  

• Proficiency in MEP cost management software and tools.
