Our client is a General Civil Engineering Contactor, established for over 40-years with a turnover of £120m+. They have successfully delivered schemes across the UK and Europe with a strong client base of international Tier:1 main contractors 

This organisation undertakes general Civil Engineering works packages, mostly sub-surface including: Installation Of Duct Networks, Precast Chambers, Pressurised Systems, Drainage. RC Foundations & Slabs, Roads, Hard & Soft Landscaping, Utilities & Power. 

Due to continued growth our client needs to add to their delivery team and are now seeking an experienced Works Manager to join the team on a project in Central London. This scheme is a £7m package of civils works, as part of a large residential and commercial development, in Central London. 

The package of works will include: demolition, movement joints and installation of reinforced concrete works around new piled foundations and new power, water and communications connections to the development.

The Works Manager will support the scheme across all operational and technical aspects. This will be an integral member of the site-based team and will be responsible for delivering packages of work to HSEQ, programme and commercial targets. You will be heavily involved in quality management and technical support functions.

Duties include: 
Safely delivering the works 
Understand project objectives
Develop, lead and mentor project teams
Develop client relationships
Monitor construction programme, identify and manage risks
Manage and control changes to scope
Monitor progress against cost plans
Any other reasonable requests as required by Management

Ideal qualifications & experience 
Computer literate with software programmes such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint 
Team leader experience 
Champion of quality, safety and environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
