Site Manager- Newcastle 

£65,000 + Excellent Package 

Our client, an established contractor involved in various sectors including education, healthcare, industrial, residential, life sciences, retail and commercial known for commitment to innovation, quality, and sustainability is now looking for an experienced Site Manager in Newcastle. As a Site Manager you will oversee and manage the day-to-day activities of construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within the budget.  

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:     

  • Oversee site activities giving attention to site safety and project quality.  

  • Generate detailed work plans, schedules & milestones to ensure project objectives are met.  

  • Oversee progress, adjusting as necessary to keep the project in line.  

  • Oversee and manage a team of installers, subcontractors, and site supervisors, assigning tasks and responsibilities to ensure that all team members are clear on their roles.  

  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the discussion of project progress, addressing issues, and plan upcoming tasks.  

  • Emphasize health & safety policies in site & procedures, conduct regular safety inspection, risk assessment, and provide training as needed.  

  • Oversee all installation work meets or exceeds quality standards and project specifications.  

  • Conduct regular inspections of work in progress and completed work to ensure quality control, BCAR co-ordination and address any quality issues promptly and effectively.  

  • Collaborate with project teams to communicate status, changes & issues to relevant parties.  

  • Maintain updated project documentations, progress reports and safety records ready for review or submission to senior management.  

  • HNC/HND in Construction or equivalent. 

  • SMSTS, First Aid at work and relevant CSCS qualifications are essential. 

  • Educational, Healthcare, Leisure or Defense schemes experience is an advantage. 

  • Commercial awareness is beneficial. 

  • Strong knowledge of project execution in the construction industry.  

  • Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.  

  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.  

  • A full UK driving license is essential.
