Location: Groningen, Netherlands Salary: €55,000-€65,000 + Full Rotational Package

HSE Advisor – Groningen – Data Centre

We are currently partnering with an internationally renowned subcontractor specialising in civils, groundworks, substructures etc. They currently have an ongoing project in Groningen working for a well-known main contractor on a hyperscale Data Centre project. On this site, the need now exists for an experienced HSE Advisor to join them. 

Responsibilities

•    Site Safety Oversight:
Monitor and enforce health, safety, and environmental compliance across all groundworks, substructure, and civils operations—including excavation, drainage, concrete works, and access roads.
•    Risk Assessment and Method Statement (RAMS) Review:
Review and validate RAMS for all high-risk activities, ensuring they are suitable, specific, and communicated clearly to operatives and supervisors on site.
•    Daily Site Inspections and Compliance Audits:
Conduct regular HSE inspections to identify unsafe practices or conditions, implement immediate corrective actions, and report findings to project management and client HSE teams.
•    Incident Reporting and Investigation:
Lead the response to any accidents, near-misses, or unsafe acts; conduct thorough investigations; and ensure corrective and preventative measures are implemented promptly.
•    Safety Briefings and Engagement:
Deliver daily pre-start briefings, weekly toolbox talks, and targeted safety campaigns to promote a strong safety culture and maintain compliance with Dutch and EU HSE regulations.

Requirements

Must be NEBOSH certified
Must have 3+ years’ experience on Data Centre or similar large scale construction projects
Must have EU Passport or RTW in Netherlands

Benefits

€50,000 - €65,000 + Full Rotational Package
