Mechanical Quality Engineer - Data Centre - Sweden

As a Mechanical Quality Engineer you will be an integral part of our mechanical subcontracting team, focusing primarily on data centre projects. Your role will involve ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulations throughout the project lifecycle.

Job Description:

  • Conduct system testing reviews and inspections of system installations, ensuring completion of system test packs and handover dossiers.
  • Review installations for compliance with clients' quality plans, standards, specifications, designs, procedures, and expectations.
  • Develop system and equipment test packs using Project Quality Management Software.
  • Collaborate with site construction teams throughout the installation process.
  • Perform regular site quality audits.
  • Review benchmarks and first-of-a-kind installations.
  • Ensure procedures comply with both the Company's and Client's Health and Safety regulations.
  • Conduct daily visual inspections of mechanical fabrication, including assessment of fabrication quality and accuracy, weld quality and compliance, paint quality and compliance, packing, and protection.
  • Implement System Inspection & Test Plans.
  • Attend quality meetings with management and subcontractors, providing quality reports.
  • Implement Company Quality Control systems.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification, or time-served Mechanical Services Installation.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in QAQC inspector/engineer roles.
  • Essential knowledge of HVAC Piping Systems and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Previous experience in a similar quality role would be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Ventilation Systems Installation would be beneficial.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience working with Quality Management Software is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
