Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire Salary: £60,000-£75,000 + Benefits

Electrical Engineer (Senior – Team Leader) – Leeds – Utilities

We are currently partnering with a globally present, multidisciplinary consultancy. With a current focus on the water market, they are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their design team in Leeds to oversee projects across the Yorkshire region. This will be a Hybrid role working both from home and the Leeds office with occasionally site visits within the Yorkshire region.

Responsibilities

•    Lead Electrical Design Delivery
Manage and oversee the full lifecycle of electrical design packages for complex water infrastructure projects, ensuring technical excellence, compliance with industry standards, and delivery within scope, budget, and schedule.
•    Team Leadership and Development
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers, fostering a collaborative environment focused on innovation, continuous improvement, and professional development.
•    Client and Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders on all electrical aspects, ensuring clear communication, proactive issue resolution, and alignment with client expectations and project goals.
•    Design Governance and Quality Assurance
Implement rigorous design governance processes, including technical reviews, risk assessments, and design validations to uphold quality assurance and regulatory compliance across all project phases.
•    Strategic Contribution and Work Winning
Support business growth by contributing to technical strategy, resource planning, and tender development, leveraging sector expertise to strengthen the consultancy’s position in the water industry.

Requirements

Ideal candidate will have previous experience working for a design consultancy on water projects
Must have 5+ years’ experience in a similar role
Chartered engineers are preferred

Benefits

£75,000 + Package
