Application Engineer – Remote – Data Centres

We are currently partnering with an industry-leading manufacturing company with global presence in the evaporative cooling and industrial refrigeration markets. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experience Application Engineer to work remotely for them to manufacture and then supply cooling systems to various contractors and Clients on Data Centre projects.

Responsibilities

•    Technical Support & Application Design: Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and end clients to provide tailored cooling system solutions for data centre projects, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency based on site-specific requirements.
•    Pre-Sales Engineering & Proposal Development: Support the sales team by preparing technical proposals, equipment selections, and system layouts that align with project specifications and commercial objectives.
•    Project Coordination & Supply Oversight: Manage the technical aspects of system supply, ensuring all cooling equipment is delivered according to schedule, specifications, and client expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
•    Client & Contractor Liaison: Act as a key technical contact for clients and contractors, providing guidance, resolving engineering queries, and ensuring alignment between engineering requirements and commercial commitments.
•    Remote Support & Documentation: Operate independently in a remote working environment, maintaining clear records, preparing submittals and O&M documentation, and delivering virtual support throughout the design and installation phases.

Requirements

Must have relevant mechanical engineering degree or equivalent trades background
Must have 4+ years’ experience in a similar role
Data Centre experience would be beneficial
Ideal Candidate will come from a mechanical background with sales experience

Benefits

£75,000 - £100,000 + Remote working
