Managing Quantity Surveyor Civil Engineering Kent
Our client is a general Civil Engineering Contactor, established for over 40-years with a turnover of £120m+. They have successfully delivered schemes across the UK and Europe with a strong client base of international Tier:1 main contractors
This organisation undertakes general Civil Engineering works packages, mostly sub-surface including: Installation Of Duct Networks, Precast Chambers, Pressurised Systems, Drainage. RC Foundations & Slabs, as well as Roads, Hard & Soft Landscaping, Utilities & Power.
Due to continued growth and expansion our client is now seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join the established commercial team from their Kent head office
You will be responsible for monitoring and reviewing the activities of the contract operation in order to enable the company to meet its commercial objectives and targets. You will provide the Contract Manager/ Commercial Manager with regular and accurate information relating to the status of all aspects of the contract.
Key Role Deliverables:
• Maintaining Project Pipeline and Order book
• Develop and maintain relationship with clients
• Ensuring all Commercial Activities are performed in an ethical manner while maintaining a competitive position for the client.
• Ensure Project Forecasting is accurately reported on a monthly basis
• Ensuring accurate Month - End CVR Reporting
• Reviewing and managing Risk and Opportunities
• Ensure cashflow is maintained
• Managing Supply Chain Procurement
• Manage and mentor team
• Monthly Commercial Reporting / Health Check Reporting
• Any other reasonable requests as required by Management

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
• Good level of IT literacy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Degree Qualification or Similar
• Demonstrable Commercial Experience
• Professional Qualification

• Time management skills and flexibility for planning and prioritising tasks
• Good written and verbal communication skills with good presentation and negotiation skills
