Our client is a dynamic and growing specialist joinery and interior fit-out contractor with a reputation for excellence and innovation and an international track record of successful delivery across range of sectors including luxury hotels, prime residential & commercial projects
Due to continued growth and recent contract awards the opportunity has arisen for an M&E Supervisor to join the team in London.
Reporting to the Project Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for the M&E services at all stages of the project ensuring that the scope of works is estimated, designed, installed and commissioned in a safe manner, on time, within budget and to specification.
Main duties will include:
Ensure the company’s contractual responsibilities with respect to building services are fulfilled.
Provide leadership and direction to the project team in relation to M&E services and ensure that all those engaged on site have up-to-date information.
Supervise installation works to ensure delivery of integrated systems in line with the client's specification, on time and within budget.
Ensure the Company is financially re-imbursed for the integration of services and attendance works.
Review M&E consultants, M&E contractors and architect's design to identify interface problems.
Assist with commercial aspects of the contract, including negotiation and agreement of contract variations and price in relation to M&E services.
Liaise with all parties to highlight interface problems and help agree solutions.
Ensure adequate provision is made for maintenance of services.
Assist with the preparation of co-ordinated building and services programmes.
Involvement in the co-ordination of site works to avoid delay and re-work
Prepare material take offs and raise requisitions were appropriate.
Ensure that a high standard of safety is maintained on projects and that all relevant environmental and health & safety regulations and procedures are adhered to in relation to M&E services.
Candidates must have a proven track record within the construction industry in a M&E role and a recognised qualification in a relevant discipline.
Previous experience of interior fit-out projects is preferable. Although experience of both electrical and mechanical services is essential the role involves a stronger focus on electrical.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and communication skills, the ability to plan and stay one-step ahead and be self-motivated and adaptable. Candidates should be client focused, with sound commercial acumen and the ability to deliver results within deadlines.
