M&E Project Manager

Location: Surrey Salary: to c£370/day

Our client a busy Berkshire based well established contractor who require a M&E Project Manager to work on commercial, retail, healthcare and mixed use project sectors with the following responsibilities

Responsibilities:

    You will have a good grasp of M&E services and be responsible for overseeing the entire site remit within commercial, and mixed use projects, whilst reporting to the Engineering Director.
    Maintaining site records and activities whilst establishing effective communication and coordinating site meetings while seamlessly organising subcontractors and overseeing progress.
    Maintaining full quality assurance control, including health and safety control, witness testing, compliance to fitted drawings and hand over packs in addition to delivering toolbox talks, maintaining materials, plant and employee management control, conducting quality and safety inspections, Day to day problem solving and dealing with any issues that arise
    Ensuring that the technical issues are resolved without delay.
    Process internal procurement from equipment enquires though requisitioning and monitoring
    manufacture through to delivery to site whilst maintaining a comprehensive audit train
    Attend and record regular supply chain meetings to ensure that progress is monitored and maintained within the overall construction programme.
    Liaise with the design team and supply chain to ensure correct operation of the plant on site and successful handover.
    Monitor and record progress on site against the construction programme.
    To liaise with the project manager and prepare the project close out report.
    Review with the project manager the allocation of resources and to review progress.
    Review and ensure that the site-based personnel have the correct training and valid certificate for the project.

Experience/Qualifications

    Suitably qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
    At least 4 years¿ experience in an engineering management role on construction projects such as commercial, retail, educational, life sciences pharmaceutical, healthcare or laboratory.

The opportunity is offered as a permanent or ongoing contract role with long term prospects. The role require the individual to undergo security check and obtain clearances by relevant authorities (application made by the employer)
