Due to our client's continued expansion, we are actively seeking a Logistics Manager based in Skelleftea, Sweden. Our client is focused in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Sprinkler and Fire Protection division and also offers additional top notch services that includes Waste to Energy (BioEnergy), Specialist Lift, Off Site Fabrication, Technical Support Services, Maintenance, Asset Management, BIM (Building Information Modelling) and Geo-Surveying. Please see below for the full job details.

As a Logistics Manager you will be reporting to the Construction Manager. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, managing and executing all material & plant controls & movement for the mechanical package for a large value, high-tech manufacturing facility. You will be required to manage a team consisting of store keepers, cleaners, drivers and will be required to produce periodic progress reports including material & plant inventories and goods receipting. The Logistic Lead will be required to interface with in-house mechanical team and external project parties to plan & coordinate site logistics.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Manage and support Project Management and Construction Team in development and execution of project logistic plan.

  • Ability to oversee multiple tasks running concurrently.

  • Knowledge of material controls procedures.

  • Familiarity with mechanical components such as valves and pipe fittings is an advantage but not essential.

  • Relevant logistics / material controls qualification and/or experience.

  • Experience in SAP Goods receipting an advantage but not essential.

  • Rigging and manual handling qualifications are required.

  • Lift AP qualification essential.

  •  Leading the logistics team on site in consultation with the construction teams.

  • Receiving, offloading and storing plant, materials and equipment.

  • Maintain store inventory of plant, material & equipment and record goods in / goods out and produce periodic stock reports.

  • Manage pipe spool yard.

  • Manage material distribution around the project site in coordination with the construction team.

  • Attending internal and external site meetings as required.

  • Review and input into rigging and lifting RAMS.

  • Producing weekly, monthly and periodic reports for internal and external purposes.

  • Good communication skills and presentation is essential.

  • Excellent IT Skills.
