Energy Marshall – Hyperscale Data Centre Project – Sweden
A leading international contractor delivering large-scale hyperscale data centre projects across Europe is seeking an experienced Energy Marshall to join its safety and commissioning oversight team on a major build in Sweden.
This role is vital to ensuring the safe energisation of complex MEP systems in live construction environments. The successful candidate will act as a key interface between commissioning, safety, and construction teams—focusing on lockout/tagout (LOTO), permit to work, and energisation protocols during one of Europe’s most high-profile mission-critical projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage LOTO procedures and safe energisation of electrical and mechanical systems
Work closely with commissioning, QA/QC, and safety teams to ensure all safety protocols are followed during energisation works
Oversee energy isolation points and ensure accurate signage and barricading during works
Act as the permit-to-work authority for energisation-related activities on site
Maintain detailed logs and energy tracking documentation in line with project requirements
Conduct toolbox talks, briefings, and workshops related to energy management and safe system activation
Support commissioning sequencing and provide clear guidance on energisation phasing to subcontractors and project leads
Assist in audits and inspections related to safe energy management protocols
Candidate Profile:
EU Passport holder.
3+ years' experience in a similar Energy Marshall, Commissioning, or Safety Systems role within large-scale industrial or data centre projects
Solid understanding of high-voltage (HV/LV) systems, temporary power systems, and MEP interfaces
Familiar with LOTO, safe systems of work, and permit management in mission-critical environments
Excellent organisational and communication skills with a proactive, safety-first mindset
Recognised electrical or mechanical trade qualification preferred
Fluent in English; ability to work within a multicultural, high-paced site team
