Energy Marshall – Hyperscale Data Centre Project – Sweden

A leading international contractor delivering large-scale hyperscale data centre projects across Europe is seeking an experienced Energy Marshall to join its safety and commissioning oversight team on a major build in Sweden.

This role is vital to ensuring the safe energisation of complex MEP systems in live construction environments. The successful candidate will act as a key interface between commissioning, safety, and construction teams—focusing on lockout/tagout (LOTO), permit to work, and energisation protocols during one of Europe’s most high-profile mission-critical projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage LOTO procedures and safe energisation of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Work closely with commissioning, QA/QC, and safety teams to ensure all safety protocols are followed during energisation works
  • Oversee energy isolation points and ensure accurate signage and barricading during works
  • Act as the permit-to-work authority for energisation-related activities on site
  • Maintain detailed logs and energy tracking documentation in line with project requirements
  • Conduct toolbox talks, briefings, and workshops related to energy management and safe system activation
  • Support commissioning sequencing and provide clear guidance on energisation phasing to subcontractors and project leads
  • Assist in audits and inspections related to safe energy management protocols

Candidate Profile:

  • EU Passport holder.
  • 3+ years' experience in a similar Energy Marshall, Commissioning, or Safety Systems role within large-scale industrial or data centre projects
  • Solid understanding of high-voltage (HV/LV) systems, temporary power systems, and MEP interfaces
  • Familiar with LOTO, safe systems of work, and permit management in mission-critical environments
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills with a proactive, safety-first mindset
  • Recognised electrical or mechanical trade qualification preferred
  • Fluent in English; ability to work within a multicultural, high-paced site team
  • EU passport or Swedish work eligibility required

What’s on Offer:

  • €105,000 - €110,000 + Accommodation + rotation + Travel + Living allowance.
  • Long-term role with strong project pipeline in Sweden and across Northern Europe
  • Flights, accommodation, and rotation package available (if applicable)
  • Opportunity to work with a market leader in data centre construction
  • High-level exposure to complex commissioning and energisation procedures on hyperscale builds
