Our client is a leading UK building, infrastructure, engineering, and fit-out company. We deliver vital projects across various sectors, including health, education, highways, justice, defence, aviation, water, and environment.

Join our team as an Electrical Project Manager in Yorkshire. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of projects both technically and commercially. 

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Manage all Engineering Services activities in line with the company IPCD.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient execution of the project following company IPCD.
  • Manage project resources on a day-to-day basis and report any staff issues.
  • Handle project commercial issues and cost reporting (WIP).
  • Identify client requirements and ensure delivery to client satisfaction.
  • Represent the company on internal or external issues.
  • Prepare detailed plans and procedures for project administration.
  • Provide timely project reporting upstream and downstream.
  • Regularly audit the project to ensure compliance.
  • Communicate with the project team on project-specific matters and company initiatives.
  • Manage positive project cash flow throughout the project's life.
  • Manage procurement to achieve the best value for Engineering Services.
  • Identify and manage all risks, implementing actions to mitigate them.

What We Need From You:

  • HVAC and electrical bias project manager.
  • Experience managing a project team to completion within budget and schedule.
  • Strong program production and management skills.
  • Ability to interpret specification requirements.
  • Resolve technical queries during the contract.
  • Manage procurement, labor, and subcontractors.
  • Assist in managing variation accounts and preparing monthly applications.
  • Construction management and liaison with the supervision team.
  • Site operations - installation and commissioning.
  • Maintain good working relationships with the client and professional team.
  • Stakeholder engagement and management.
  • Control contract costs and variations.
  • Value engineering projects to create cost savings.
  • Coordinate M&E Services installations.
  • Handle all health and safety requirements during the contract, including method statements and risk assessments.
  • Compile and present Operating & Maintenance Manuals.
  • Experience with contract values ranging from £2m and above.
  • Healthcare project experience.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree: BEng (Hons) Building Services Engineering - preferable.
  • BTEC HND Building Services - preferable.
  • BTEC: HNC Building Services - essential.
  • BTEC: ONC Building Services - essential.
  • IOSH directing safely - preferable.
  • CSCS card - essential.
  • SMSTS course - preferable.
  • Computer Skills: MS Word, PowerPoint, Project, Excel.
