We are assisting a leading engineering services contractor operating across Ireland, the UK and Europe. With commitment to excellence, innovation and sustainability, our client is currently seeking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join and contribute to the company’s success on their projects in Sweden. As Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for analysing,designing and implementing electrical systems and components for a wide range of construction projects. You will collaborate closely with the Project Manager, engineers and contractors to ensure that the electrical designs meet the project requirements and objectives. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accomplish electrical design review to identify issues and contradictions in the specifications.

  • Manage project schedules, budgets and resources to ensure timely and cost- effective delivery of electrical engineering services.

  • Ensure that technical assessments are completed as required and technical issues are resolved without delay.

  • Perform electrical load calculations, verify cable sizing, voltage drop analysis and short-circuit calculations to ensure system performance reliability.

  • Develop detailed design documentations including plan specifications and schedules for construction and installation activities.

  • Responsible for compiling and issuing electrical technical submittals and managing submittals through the approvals process, track procurement and delivery of electrical equipment and to complete the receipt verification process once the equipment is delivered.

  • Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with design, documents, safety regulations and quality standards.

  • Attend & track regular supply chain meetings to ensure that progress is monitored & maintained within the overall construction programme.

  • Oversee and record the progress on system trackers which are fully aligned with the construction schedule.

  • Verify the electrical installation with the BIM team to ensure the design is buildable and that there is adequate space for installation and maintenance of all equipment and cabling.

  • Collaborate with the design team & supply chain to ensure correct operation of the plant on site & successful handover.

  • Manage specialist vendors during the commissioning process to ensure timely completion of their works.

  • Take responsibility for client training in line with an agreed training plan.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering / Building Services Engineering.

  • Working with both LV and MV systems primarily in building services and data centre environments.

  • Notable Project engineering experience of at least 5 years with Electrical Contractors.

  • Previous record of delivering small to medium Electrical projects.

  • Proficiency in electrical design softwares and commercially aware.

  • Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards and regulations.

  • Expert in multi-tasking and managing priorities.

  • Excellent communication, teamwork and problem solving skills.

  • Excellent organisation and administration skills.

  • Establish and lead in the electrical/technical activity and challenges.

  • Knowledgeable in EHS and Quality Work Management Systems and Processes.

  • Guide and Coach to junior engineers and graduates.
