Location: Norway, Norway Salary: €80,000 – €85.000 + Accommodation + Transport + Rotation 17/4 + €1,000 Living Cost p/m

HSE Manager – Data Centre Project – Denmark

A leading specialist engineering firm delivering high-value mechanical and electrical services across Europe is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to join the project team on a major data centre development in Denmark.

This position is pivotal to the successful execution of the project, ensuring that world-class standards in health, safety, and environmental management are embedded across all construction activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead comprehensive risk assessments and hazard identification to proactively mitigate site-based safety and environmental risks.
  • Develop and enforce a project-specific Health, Safety & Environmental Management Plan aligned with local and international standards.
  • Ensure all operations fully comply with relevant safety codes, regulations, and legal obligations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Deliver tailored safety inductions, toolbox talks, and specialist training to all personnel and subcontractors on-site.
  • Respond to and investigate all incidents and near-misses. Prepare detailed reports, root cause analysis, and corrective action strategies.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and safety walkdowns. Maintain accurate HSE records and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor environmental aspects of construction including energy usage, waste management, emissions, and pollution prevention.
  • Foster a strong culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement, setting the standard for site-wide health and safety performance.

 

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree or diploma in Environmental, Health & Safety, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience managing HSE on large-scale construction projects.
  • Previous exposure to data centre, pharmaceutical, or critical infrastructure environments is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of European HSE legislation and best practice frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage compliance, reporting, and training across multiple subcontractor teams.
  • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Fluent in English; ability to work in multinational site environments.
