MEP Lead – Data Centre Projects – Oslo, Norway

An established engineering contractor delivering large-scale, high-tech infrastructure projects across the Nordics is seeking an experienced MEP Lead to manage the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing aspects of major data centre developments in Oslo, Norway. This is a leadership-level position requiring deep technical expertise, coordination ability, and commercial awareness.

You’ll take responsibility for ensuring the delivery of high-performance MEP systems from design through construction, aligned with quality, budget, and programme requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and coordinate a multidisciplinary MEP engineering team throughout project delivery.
• Oversee the full MEP design lifecycle, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, codes, and project scope.
• Interface with site engineers, subcontractors, and other discipline leads to ensure smooth integration and execution of MEP systems.
• Monitor materials and workmanship standards to ensure systems are delivered to the highest levels of quality.
• Control project budgets related to MEP works, ensuring cost-effective procurement and scope alignment.
• Track MEP delivery against milestones and proactively manage timelines to avoid delays.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams to maintain alignment and transparency across all phases.
• Provide hands-on support and problem-solving guidance across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing domains.
• Champion safety compliance and best practices across all project activities.
• Identify value engineering opportunities without compromising technical integrity or operational performance.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
• Proven experience leading MEP delivery on large-scale construction projects, ideally in the data centre or critical infrastructure sector.
• Strong technical knowledge of integrated MEP systems and construction methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience in project management, cost control, and cross-discipline coordination.
• Skilled in tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design and collaboration platforms.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); Nordic language proficiency is a plus.
