Location: Limerick Salary: €50,000-65,000 DOE

€50,000-65,000 DOE + Car allowance + Package

Our company is currently recruiting an EHS Advisor to be working onsite in Limerick for a leading engineering services contractor currently involved in complex technical projects across Europe primarily involved in life sciences, pharmaceutical and data centre schemes. The organisation’s division includes Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Sprinkler and Fire Protection and also offer other exceptional services such as Off Site Fabrication, Waste to Energy (BioEnergy),  Technical Support Services, Asset Management, Specialist Lift, Maintenance, BIM (Building Information Modelling) and Geo-Surveying. 

As an EHS advisor, you will play an important role in our project implementation and delivery processes. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and industry experts to safely deliver the success of projects. Your duties will include managing and maintaining the company’s Safety Management System. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure site personnel comply with site safety and company requirements.  

  • Deliver Health and Safety Inductions. 

  • Provide general support and assistance to the Health and Safety Manager. 

  • Implement and maintain the company's Safety Management System. 

  • Review sub-contractors Method Statements / Risk Assessments and assist where required. 

  • Undertake site inspections / audits and report findings to the project EHS Manager. 

  • Identifying training needs, and report requirements to the project EHS Manager. 

  • Deliver / attend weekly toolbox talks. 

  • Organising and chairing Safety Meetings 

  • Assist with accident /incident investigation reports. 

  • Submit weekly reports.  

  • Carry out daily site walks and report findings to project supervisors immediately.  

  • Advising and assisting the site teams in drafting Safe Plans of Action. 

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role is advantageous. 

  • Relevant 3rd Level EHS qualification essential. 

  • Experience working in the Construction Sector desired. 

  • Excellent IT Skills. 

  • Excellent organisational and planning skills.  

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
