Our client is a general civil engineering contractor, privately owned and trading for over 50-years based on their Enfield head office. They work on a wide range of project types and sizes and provides comprehensive design and build packages as well as groundworks and reinforced concrete frame services. The business employs around 300 people across all its sites including its own staff, contract staff and sub-contracted sole traders.

The need now exists for a Payroll Manager to join the team. This is a permanent role, office based 5-days a week at their Enfield head office.


The Payroll Manager would need:

-Experience using the SAGE payroll system.

-Experience in HR and general business administration, e.g: ensuring company certifications are up to date etc.


Some of the duties expected of the Payroll Manager include but not limited to:

-Using this system the Payroll Manager would administer and process the payroll for circa 60 employees (weekly paid), 30 labour-only subcontractors (weekly paid) and a monthly payroll of about 30 permanent PAYE staff at head office.

As well as the related back-end admin functions including processing of CIS Returns, end of year returns.
