Our client, a premier Data Centre delivery partner, renowned for providing comprehensive and innovative solutions, is in need of an experienced Commercial Manager. As Commercial Manager you will oversee and manage all commercial aspects of the project, ensuring financial performance and contractual compliance including budgeting, cost control, contract management, risk management, and reporting.  

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:  

  • Develop, monitor, and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports ensuring accurate and timely billing, invoicing, and collection of payments.  

  • Oversee the preparation, negotiation, and management of contracts ensuring favourable outcomes for the company.  

  • Identify and assess commercial risks associated with projects and implement risk management processes to avoid delays on project developments.  

  • Oversee the procurement process, including sourcing, tendering, final Approval of purchase orders and contract award.  

  • Work closely with key suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of goods and services.  

  • Prepare and present regular commercial reports to senior management, including financial performance, risk assessments, and project status.  

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.  

  • 10+ years post qualification experience within construction with 4+ years' experience in cost management role. 

  • Strong knowledge of commercial management principles, contract law, and procurement strategies.  

  • Data cetre experience is an advantage. 

  • Excellent financial acumen and analytical skills.  

  • Proficiency in commercial management software and tools.  

  • Effective communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
