Procurement Manager / Buyer Warrington, Cheshire
Our client is an established M&E contractor offering bespoke solutions to meet all Mechanical Engineering Services requirements from Design, Project Management, Installation and Commissioning, Service and Maintenance.
This company undertake all types of Mechanical and Electrical packages including: Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Process Pipework, Plumbing, Sanitaryware, Gas Services, Controls, Drainage, Associated Electrical Services, Renewable Technologies, Medical Gases, Drawing Production, Value Engineering and operate in a diverse range of sectors from Commercial, Education, Healthcare, Industrial Leisure and Hospitality, Technology, Utilities and Power.
Due to continued growth our client is now seeking a Procurement Manager to join the team based from their head office in Warrington, Cheshire. The Procurement Manager will be responsible for identifying and procuring the goods and services the Company needs for its day-to-day operations.
They will manage the Company’s supply of products and services and will be primarily responsible for finding and evaluating suppliers, products and services, negotiating contracts and acquiring the most cost-efficient deals, without compromising on quality.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Liaising with key company employees, both in our office and our site-based engineers, to determine their product and service needs.
• Responsible for managing and directing the purchasing of all the goods and services that the Company needs.
• Responsible for identifying potential supplier sources, conducting interviews with potential suppliers, negotiating favourable supplier agreements and managing supplier contracts.
• Managing overall direction, coordination and evaluation of procurement for the Company.
• Performing all procurement activities including pre-qualification, negotiating supplier agreements, preparation of contracts and tender management.
• Developing strong relationships with business stakeholders and strategic supply partners to improve business.
• Constantly monitoring what the Company purchases, delivers and spends to ensure that the approved purchases fall within budget guidelines, are cost-efficient and of high quality.
• Identifying areas for improvement to continually drive performance and business results.

The ideal candidate will have stable experience within the Mechanical & Electrical Building Services sector with a minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Procurement Clerk, Junior Buyer or any other related position. A related qualification (such as, Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIP) certification, NVQ certifications in Supply Chain Management and Higher National Diploma/Certificate in Procurement) would be an advantage but is not essential
