Our client is a specialist developer / contractor undertaking modular residential construction schemes across the South-East

 

This specialist construction group is JV between a Tier-1 main contractor and an international Retail Giant. As such they are very well financed with ambitious, but achievable, growth plans in place for the next 10-years.

 

This organisation is divided into regional business units and due to continued growth we are now seeking a Commercial Manager to join their Southern Regional team. This region covers developments in Surrey, Sussex and Hants. Typical schemes would comprise of 200 (modular) apartments and 21 (modular) houses.  The Commercial Manager would be responsible all the regional developments. This is likely to be 4 or 5 live sites initially, with a Project QS responsible for each scheme,  but will grow over time so this position will evolve into a more senior position and will involve growing a larger commercial team to manage.

 

The majority of the specialist packages will be delivered by our client’s established and experienced sub-contract partners and given the nature of the schemes being modular construction there are far fewer separate packages to be procured and managed (and therefore less financial risk and less work !)

 

The ideal applicant would be an experienced Commercial Manager with background within residential development within the Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire regions. Previous modular build experience would be an advantage but is not essential
