We are pleased to announce that we are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This position will be based on-site in Sines, Portugal.
Coordinate mechanical design intent with consultants, subcontractors and internal engineering teams to ensure all HVAC, cooling, and critical infrastructure systems meet data centre performance requirements.
• Installation Oversight & Quality Assurance
Monitor on-site installation of mechanical systems—including chillers, CRAC/CRAH units, pipework and ventilation—to ensure works are installed to specification, compliant with standards, and aligned with programme milestones.
• Technical Problem-Solving & Commissioning Support
Provide technical leadership during commissioning phases, troubleshooting issues with cooling systems, controls, and mechanical plant to ensure full operational reliability before handover.
• Subcontractor & Supply Chain Management
Manage mechanical subcontractors daily, review method statements, approve technical submittals, and ensure safe, efficient delivery of all mechanical packages.
• Compliance, Testing & Documentation
Ensure all mechanical works follow local regulations, project specifications and client standards; oversee testing and inspection regimes and maintain accurate engineering documentation for handover.
Must have relevant degree level qualifications or equivalent trades background
Must have EU Passport or RTW in Portugal
