A major international MEP contractor delivering large-scale hyperscale data centre projects across Europe is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its project team in Lisbon.

 

This organisation is known for delivering some of the most complex mission-critical facilities in Europe, offering long-term career development, strong technical exposure, and the opportunity to work on high-value, high-performance engineering projects.

 

You will play a key part in the mechanical delivery of a large data centre project, supporting design coordination, technical submittals, procurement, installation oversight, and commissioning readiness. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced environment, offering exceptional exposure to cutting-edge mechanical systems.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Manage communication with the client and project stakeholders
• Lead and coordinate mechanical design information and technical submissions
• Work with contractors to ensure all mechanical services are coordinated and compatible
• Prepare method statements, RAMS, and technical documentation
• Deliver all HVAC/mechanical elements in line with programme, quality, and safety standards
• Coordinate installation sequencing, pipework delivery, and mechanical packages
• Review tender documents, select plant/materials, and support procurement activities
• Support onsite installation, testing, commissioning, and project handover
• Cost and document variations, assisting with monthly valuations and final accounts

 

Requirements

• Mechanical engineering or M&E contracting experience in a similar role (essential)
• Strong design management and technical coordination background
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Project, and standard engineering tools
