International Works Manager - Netherlands

Our client is an established and respected general Civil Engineering sub-contractor operating across Europe. Their European division undertakes large civil engineering packages on behalf of Tier-1 main contractors primarily involved in the construction of data centres and pharmaceutical schemes.

This organisation undertakes Civil Packages including; Installation of duct networks, precast chambers, pressurised systems, and drainage. RC foundations & slabs, Roads, Hard & soft landscaping, Groundworks / Earthworks, Builders / Enabling works, Concrete / RC Frame, Superstructure, Piling and general external Works.

The need now exists for an experienced International Works Manager to join the delivery team working on a Data Centre project in the Netherlands.

As international Works Manager you will be part of the senior site management team and will be responsible for the successful delivery of our construction operations at site level. You will coordinate your own resources and our supply chains to ensure works are delivered efficiently and in accordance with the project programme and budget allowances. You will be part of the senior project team and will contribute to the collaborative planning process with our clients and project stakeholders, including presenting weekly and daily work and logistics plans. The International Works Manager will ensure all HSEQ requirements are adhered to by the team as well as our supply chain, setting the highest standards and leading by example.

Key role deliverables

  • Deliver the works safely
  • Manage site resources and ensure they are employed efficiently and in accordance with the project allowances
  • Keep meticulous records of site operations
  • Understand project objectives
  • Develop, lead and mentor project teams
  • Develop client relationships
  • Monitor construction programme, identify, and manage risks
  • Manage and control changes to scope
  • Monitor progress against cost plans
  • Any other reasonable requests as required by Management

Minimum qualifications and Experience

  • CSCS Card 
  • SMSTS
  • SEATS
  • Computer Literate
