Join our highly experienced team to take on diverse and challenging projects ranging from contemporary new builds to large structural refurbishments in the luxury hotel, leisure, commercial, and retail sectors, with values up to £20m.

  • Manage all commercial aspects of projects in coordination with the site team, maintaining high standards of quality and profitability.
  • Strong understanding of traditional building methods, particularly refurbishments of listed buildings and up-market period houses.
  • Confident interaction with Architects, Quantity Surveyors, Clients, and Subcontractors.
  • Efficiently manage multiple projects, ensuring tight control over variations and accurate recording of their impact on final accounts.
  • Lead in the calculation and preparation of company valuations and final accounts.
  • Prepare monthly job cost analysis data and identify areas for improved efficiency.
  • Assume full control of subcontract orders, applications, and assist with subcontract enquiries and management.
  • Regular site visits and direct liaison with Contracts Managers and Site Managers to ensure comprehensive variation recording.
  • Timely reminders to Contracts Managers and prompt collection of retentions.
  • Keep PQS's cost reports to clients up to date.
  • Prompt reporting to the line manager on budgetary concerns.
  • Communication on all matters affecting project performance, employees, associates, and the company's commercial interests.
  • Format and present valuations and final accounts tailored to the individual requirements of PQS/architects/clients for speedy certification.
  • Ensure accurate VAT assessments/calculations.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • HNC in Construction or relevant Degree-level qualification.
  • Detailed knowledge of hotel/leisure refurbishment projects.
  • Awareness of property taxation matters and contractual law.
  • Clear and precise communication skills, including detailed figures, calculations, and specific building information.
  • Strong numeracy and financial management skills, coupled with the ability to adapt to construction management IT packages.
