Our client is an established construction company looking to hire a Contracts Manager for the company’s project based in Oxford, UK to start as soon as possible. As Contracts Manager you will be reporting to Operations Director, you will be responsible for the management of all contracts in construction activities and ensure that the project is installed safely to the highest quality possible in a timely manner and within the budget. 

Key Responsibilities: 

● Managing and reporting to senior management cash flow and profit progress at regular intervals throughout projects. 

● Ensuring targets are met and a high performance standard is achieved on all projects.

● Responsible for HSEQ performance on projects.

● Creating and maintaining positive working relationships with all stakeholders on projects. 

● Responsible for resource planning, allocation and management.

Key Skills and Requirements:

● Engineering discipline or other relevant degree is required.

● Mechanical and/or Electrical background desirable. 

● CSCS qualification or relevant safety certification is required.

● NEBOSH qualification is ideal.

● Managerial experience managing a team of 10+ persons is ideal.

● Extensive experience of commercial management and knowledge of contracts is required.

● Relevant experience in a similar role (modular experience is an advantage).

● Cleanroom, M&E, Pharma and main contractor experience is desirable.

● Organisation skills with the proven ability to multitask and delegate appropriately.

● Forward thinking with focus on risk mitigation and management. 

● Professional and respectful.

● With the ability to make informed decisions and to follow up on these decisions.

● Can demonstrate urgency and proactive problem solving.

● Must be willing to travel domestically.
