Our client, a leading contractor committed to innovation and excellence, delivering innovative solutions to the digital world across the Nordic region, is in need of an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Quantity Surveyor. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the quantity surveying function, ensuring cost control, and supporting project delivery from inception to completion which requires strong analytical skills, extensive knowledge of construction costs, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
Key Requirements & Responsibilities:
Establish a comprehensive project budget based on project scope, specifications, and contractual requirements.
Oversee cost planning and management of projects, including estimating, budgeting, and cost control measures.
Provide accurate and informed reporting on the project's cost performance.
Manage the preparation and evaluation of subcontract packages, contributing to interim and final valuations.
Review and analyse contracts and identify key terms, conditions and obligations related to cost management.
Prepare and evaluate tender documents, including contract conditions, bills of quantities, and subcontractor packages.
Prepare updated cost reports, providing project managers and stakeholders with insights into cost performance.
Implement effective cost control measures to monitor project expenditures and identify potential issues and present reliable solutions.
Participate in project meetings, providing expertise and insights on cost management issues and strategies.
Lead and mentor the QS and Trainee QS, fostering collaborative and supportive team environment.
Work closely with your counterparts within the client's and subcontractor's teams to ensure that all commercial/contractual and financial processes are finalised and dealt with diligently, in partnership approach developed by CTS-Nordics with its clients and suppliers.
Degree in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management or related field.
5+ years of experience in Quantity Surveying within construction.
Data Centre experience is beneficial.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of quantity surveying and reporting.
Proficiency in Quantity Surveying software and tools.
Excellent negotiation, problem solving and communication skills.
