Structural Engineer - Data Centres – Portugal

We are currently partnering with a rapidly growing European contractor delivering world-class data centre and high-tech projects across the Nordics and Western Europe. They have played key roles in delivering some of Europe’s most impressive Data Centre projects to date and are now looking to further expand their team with a Structural Engineer in Portugal.

Responsibilities

Structural Design Coordination
Collaborate with design consultants and in-house engineering teams to review and coordinate structural design packages, ensuring alignment with architectural, civil, and MEP disciplines.
Technical Assurance & Compliance
Review structural drawings, calculations, and specifications to verify compliance with local codes, project standards, and client technical requirements.
Construction Support & Problem Solving
Provide technical support to site and project management teams during construction, resolving structural issues and ensuring buildability and quality on-site.
Interface & Change Management
Manage design changes, RFIs, and coordination meetings to maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely communication between design and construction teams.
Quality, Safety & Continuous Improvement
Ensure all structural works are executed in line with QA/QC and safety procedures, promoting best practices and contributing to continuous improvement across design and construction delivery.

Requirements

Successful candidate must have relevant degree level qualifications or equivalent trades background
Must have 2+ years’ experience in a similar role
Must be based within Portugal
