Our client is a regional main contractor undertaking new build projects within the industrial, warehousing and logistics / distribution centres sectors. They offer a full turnkey D&B service to their growing client list and they are growing 15% year-on-year whilst maintaining profitability and liquidity. Turnover currently stands at £45m To sustain this growth, they are now seeking an additional Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team, based at their Northamptonshire office. The role can be a mixture of office, site and home-based working Genera duties to include: In return our client can offer a negotiable basic salary, up to circa £80k + car & Package
• Prepare, manage, and report on project budgets, cost plans, and cash flows.
• Procure subcontractors and suppliers, including preparing tender documents, evaluating returns, and negotiating contracts.
• Administer subcontractor and supplier accounts, including valuations, payments, and change management.
• Monitor project costs and variations to ensure alignment with budget and contractual obligations.
• Measure and value works (on-site and from drawings) for interim and final payments.
• Prepare and submit interim applications for payment and final accounts to the client or client’s representative.
• Identify, assess, and manage commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide commercial support and advice to the project team, including contractual and financial matters.
• Maintain accurate records of works, costs, and changes to support project controls and auditing.
• Liaise with site teams, design teams, and client representatives to ensure smooth commercial delivery.
• Support the resolution of disputes and claims in line with contract conditions (e.g., NEC, JCT).
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards.
• Prepare regular commercial reports for internal stakeholders, highlighting key metrics and forecasts.
• Assist in value engineering and cost-saving initiatives where appropriate.
