Pre-Construction Manager – Commercial OPW – Limerick

We are currently partnering with a long-standing Tier 1 Contractor with presence across Ireland who are now embarking on a €15,000,000 OPW project in Limerick. For this project they are seeking an experienced Pre-Construction Manager to join the Pre-Construction team and aid with the Quality planning, phase planning, etc. to ensure timely delivery.

Responsibilities

•   Lead Pre-Construction Planning Activities
Coordinate and manage all pre-construction planning efforts, including quality planning, phase planning, and programme development, to ensure seamless project setup aligned with OPW requirements and standards.
•   Develop and Maintain Project Programmes
Produce, monitor, and update detailed pre-construction and construction programmes using recognised planning tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera), ensuring alignment with key milestones and deliverables.
•   Interface with Key Stakeholders
Liaise with design teams, consultants, subcontractors, and the client (OPW) during the pre-construction phase to ensure all planning assumptions are validated and integrated effectively into the overall delivery strategy.
•   Identify Risks and Planning Constraints
Proactively assess potential risks, constraints, and logistical challenges during early-stage planning, proposing mitigation strategies to maintain programme and quality objectives.
•   Support Tender and Procurement Processes
Collaborate with the estimating and commercial teams to provide programme input into tender submissions, method statements, and procurement schedules, ensuring a robust pre-construction approach.

Requirements

Must have 4+ years’ experience in a similar role
Must be based within commutable distance of head office in Limerick
Previous experience on similar construction projects is ideal
