Our client is a major European MEP subcontractor contractor. They undertake large, M&E packages on complex technical projects including Data Centres, Pharmaceutical, Life Science and Battery & Semi-Conductor Plants We are now seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Lead based on a hyper-scale data centre build in Mons, Belgium. You’ll lead the end-to-end commissioning of complex electrical systems, ensuring flawless delivery to the highest standards of performance, safety, and compliance for a global technology client. Key Responsibilities: What We’re Looking For: What’s On Offer:
• Manage all electrical commissioning activities from pre-commissioning through to IST and handover
• Oversee commissioning teams and subcontractors to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to spec
• Develop and implement commissioning plans, checklists, schedules, and progress tracking tools
• Coordinate closely with QA/QC, installation, and client teams to ensure readiness for commissioning milestones
• Lead functional testing, system energisation, fault finding, and integrated systems testing (IST)
• Prepare and manage handover documentation including O&M manuals, test reports, and compliance records
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and performance at all stages of the commissioning lifecycle
• Strong track record in electrical commissioning on data centres or other mission-critical projects
• Deep understanding of LV/MV systems, UPS, generators, switchgear, SCADA/BMS integration, and test protocols
• Experience working for MEP subcontractors on large-scale projects
• Excellent leadership, organisational, and client-facing skills
• Engineering qualification (Electrical or Building Services preferred)
• Fluent in English (French or Dutch is a bonus, but not required)
• Comfortable working in a rotational capacity (e.g. 3:1 or 4:1 rotation – confirmed at interview stage)
