My client operates across a broad range of sectors, including Housing, Large Regeneration Schemes, Education, Health and Mixed Use. They both constructs and develops education, healthcare and housing projects working in partnership with key stakeholders including Local Authorities, Housing Associations and Commercial sector partners. They are one of the top 20 main contractors in the UK.
They are currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor to work as part of their construction project team to help them successfully deliver a key design and build scheme in Sussex. This is a varied challenge which will involve ensuring the commercial delivery of this scheme through:
- Financial Cost Control of Building Contracts
- Providing Cost Advice to the Contracts Manager
- Purchasing and negotiating Sub Contractor Orders
- Paying and monitoring Subcontractor Progress
- Client Liaison and Value Forecasting for the Client
- Maximising Cash Flows
- And identifying opportunities for Value Engineering
The ideal candidate will have experience working as an on-site Quantity Surveyor with a Main Contractor. You will ideally have experience of working as part of a residential scheme, whether design and build or full regeneration. You will also demonstrate excellent financial and technical knowledge along with strong decision making ability and the commercial approach which is essential in controlling a large mixed use project.
