Leading consultancy's sustainability team require an ESD Consultant to Provide consultancy on energy and sustainability projects within. Responsibilities would include
(i) Taking lead roles and project management of the delivery of energy and sustainability services on projects.
(ii) Be able to demonstrate BREEAM and Code for Sustainable Homes (CfSH) capabilities with proven experience of such projects and should be qualified to certify BREEAM and CfSH projects
(iii) A track record of using IES Dynamic Thermal Modelling Software would be desirable but not essential
(iv) The successful candidate should also ideally have experience of the following:
Planning strategy and documentation – energy strategies and sustainability statements
Building modelling (energy performance, daylight studies, etc.)
Low and zero carbon strategies
(v) Assist in production Reports and Planning Applications including assessments on energy supply and demand. To incorporate energy/water efficiency measures and Low Zero Carbon technology (combined cooling, heating and power, solar PV/Thermal, Wind, Biomass Heating/CHP, Ground Source Heat Pumps, Geothermal Heating and Cooling) into the project design.
(vi) Maintain professional knowledge of energy and sustainability legislation.
(vii) Maintain excellent client and design team relationships to achieve high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
The candidate will have at least 4-6 years’ experience working within an energy design environment within a recognised engineering practise and has a detailed knowledge of the design procurement and installation process for major projects.
(i) An Energy/Sustainability/Building Services/Engineering related degree.
(ii) Technically competent.
(iii) Candidate should have qualifications and good working knowledge of BREEAM and CfSH
(iv) IES VE Working knowledge desirable
