The Role:
The position of Quantity Surveyor is to take responsibility for an M&E package worth £15M, phased over two years; this is part of a major project on Cross Rail worth a total value of £70.
The specialist sub contract procurement of the M&E packages has already been completed and so the role for Quantity Surveyor would be a package positon to take accountability for the M&E packages, managing the cost and budget, administering the contracts and claim for variations.
This role will be working alongside an M&E Project Manager, who is highly esteemed within the organisation. This role reports directly to the Commercial Manager of Major Projects.

The Individual
You must have a recognised UK Main Contractor background.
You must have a minimum of 4 years’ experience working as a Quantity Surveyor on projects up to the value of £10M.
My client is taking a flexible approach to the recruitment of the Quantity Surveyor, over and above background my client is specifically looking for a Quantity Surveyor who can demonstrate astute commercial acumen. My client is looking for a Quantity Surveyor who is driven and articulate, who can work off their own initiative.

Remuneration and Benefits:
This role is offering a salary of £45K + ECOP (company car allowance – tax free benefit) + 6% pension + healthcare + performance bonus.
