Site Manager – Retail Fit-Out – London(Contract)

We’re looking for a driven and experienced Site Manager to lead a fast-paced retail fit-out project in central London for a national main contractor known for high-spec MEP-led delivery.
 

This is a key freelance opportunity for a hands-on, detail-focused Site Manager with a background in retail or high-end fit-out. You’ll take ownership of the site day-to-day, ensuring exceptional finishes, tight programme control, and seamless coordination of trades.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the site from day one, coordinating trades, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure safe, efficient, and quality-focused delivery.
• Drive works on site to meet key milestones. Sequence trades effectively, foresee delays, and keep everything on track without compromise on finish.
• Champion best practices. Carry out inductions, maintain RAMS, and lead daily briefings and H&S audits.
• Uphold exceptional standards across all finishes. Conduct inspections and snagging to ensure compliance with design intent and client expectations.
• Act as the key site contact between subcontractors, the main contractor, and client representatives. Maintain clear communication and reporting at all times.

Candidate Requirements:

• 5+ years’ experience as a Site Manager in fit-out or retail-led construction environments
• Strong understanding of MEP integration within fast-track fit-out environments
• Proven track record in delivering high-quality finishes to tight deadlines
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications essential
