Senior Planner – Data Centres – Dusseldorf

Our client is a €2bn turnover, Tier:1 main contractor operating across the UK, Ireland & Europe. They undertake major, complex schemes with a particular emphasis on Data Centres, Pharmaceutical and Life Science projects.

Due to continued growth in the region of their Data Centre projects division, our client is now seeking an experienced Senior Planner.

Requirements

•   Programme Development & Management
Lead the creation, management, and updating of detailed project programmes for a complex data centre retrofit, accounting for phased delivery, MEP-heavy scope, and working within a live operational environment.
•   Progress Monitoring & Reporting
Track site progress against the baseline programme, prepare progress reports, and advise project leadership on potential risks, delays, and recovery strategies.
•   Interface & Sequencing Planning
Develop and maintain detailed sequencing for critical MEP installations, system upgrades, and integration works, ensuring minimal disruption to live data centre operations.
•   Risk & Change Management
Identify programme risks early, evaluate the impact of design changes and variations, and implement mitigation measures to safeguard delivery deadlines and client requirements.
•   Collaboration & Stakeholder Coordination
Work closely with project managers, engineers, QS, and client representatives to align programme objectives with commercial, technical, and operational priorities. Mentor junior planners and provide guidance on best practice in fast-track retrofit planning.

Responsibilities

Must have relevant degree level qualification or equivalent trades background
Must have 8+ years’ experience in a similar role on large scale construction projects (preferably Data Centres)
Must have EU Passport or RTW in Europe
